Know the limits before installing
Human review remains mandatory.
- No automatic completeness promise: the app may miss sensitive information, especially in scans, unusual layouts, handwriting, or unsupported workbook structures.
- No privacy guarantee: local processing reduces the need to send source contents to an online redaction service, but your device, backups, shared folders, malware, and later sharing choices remain outside the app’s control.
- Flattened PDF trade-off: flattening removes the original PDF layers from the new copy, but it also removes searchability and may reduce accessibility. Confirm that the recipient accepts a flattened document.
- Unsigned beta: the current Windows Preview is unsigned and Windows may display a SmartScreen warning. Do not install it if your organization prohibits unsigned software.
